Paid sick time is the law in Oregon. We did it!

Things are moving fast in Salem, but I wanted to make sure you heard about a big win for Oregon working families.

On Friday, I voted with a majority of my colleagues in the House to make Oregon the 4th state in the country to require universal paid sick time for all workers. I was proud to co-carry this proposal on the floor and champion it as a chief sponsor.

This victory didn’t come easy. It was made possible by an outpouring of grassroots support from Oregonians in every corner of our state.

Thank you for standing with me and making your voice heard! We did it!

The fight continues on a number of fronts, from raising the minimum wage to shoring up school funding. But we’re making remarkable progress for Oregon’s working families.

Thank you for staying involved, Friends!

As Multnomah County Commissioner I’ve fought to make sure every member of our community has what they need to succeed. I want to make Multnomah County an even better place to live, work, and raise a family. I'm ready to get to work and I hope you'll join us!
