Big news: I’m running!

Today, I’m beginning a new journey and I want you to join me.

Our region is growing like never before as more families and businesses recognize that Multnomah County is a great place to live, work, and play. Now is a pivotal time to shape our future.

I helped Oregon achieve historic progress during my time in the Legislature. I stood up for all our families by fighting for universal paid sick days, tuition equity, better-funded schools, and environmental protections. I am proud that our state is cleaner, greener, and more prosperous than ever before.

As we grow, I envision the same progressive momentum for Multnomah County. That is why I am proud to announce I am running for Multnomah County Commissioner:

I am taking this opportunity to make sure our community continues to be a great place to live and to extend that quality of life to every neighborhood and every family.

To do that, we need to fight for a living wage that can truly support a family and make sure we have affordable housing in every corner of our county. We need to increase access to mental health services and drug treatment, and continue to improve the quality of our air and water.

This is our chance to give everyone the fair shot they deserve. I’m seizing this moment and I hope you will too.

Let’s build our future together.

Thank you!

Meet Jessica

I am a mother, a business professional, a progressive Democrat, a proud resident of East Portland, and the first Latina elected to the Oregon House of Representatives.

As Multnomah County Commissioner I’ve fought to make sure every member of our community has what they need to succeed. I want to make Multnomah County an even better place to live, work, and raise a family. I'm ready to get to work and I hope you'll join us!
