You’re coming through loud and clear

The results of our survey earlier this month found that about half of the participants believe affordable housing and reducing homelessness is the most critical issue facing our community.
I agree completely – in Multnomah County, it is impossible to ignore the shortage of affordable housing. Too many family’s budgets are being stretched thin trying to make ends meet. When families are forced to move because of high rents it disrupts a child’s school year and community. Even worse, many families, seniors, and veterans are facing the prospect of being homeless.
As County Commissioner, I will fight to ensure we have safe, sustainable, and affordable communities to combat homelessness and displacement in Multnomah County. Will you donate now to help me work for affordable housing in every corner of our community?
During this campaign, I’ve already been visiting examples of affordable housing – like Portland Habilitation Center's newest affordable housing apartment complex in East Portland.
